Easy Eye Makeup Looks For Any Occasion
Whether you’re getting ready for a casual get-together with friends, heading to work or going to a formal event, you likely want to make sure your makeup is perfect for the occasion. While you should make sure your primer and foundation make your skin look its best, it’s also important to find a matte lipstick that brings out your skin tone. Your eye makeup also adds an appealing finishing touch to your look and can accentuate the shape and color of your eyes.
So, grab your mascara, eyeshadow, and eyebrow pencil and experiment with eye makeup looks that will help you look your best no matter the event you’re attending:
1. Casual looks for brunch
To get ready for this event, start with makeup that offers medium coverage, and matches your skin tone. If your skin has a smooth texture, apply your makeup with a beauty blender or flat brush. If you want to correct uneven skin tone, you may want to apply your makeup with a stippling brush. Next, use some concealer to cover up any imperfections like blemishes or dark circles. Select a shade that is a little lighter than your natural skin tone to use as a highlighter.
Now for the eyes. Use mascara with nourishing ingredients like sunflower oil or vitamin E to enrich and thicken your lashes. Be sure to look down so you won’t get the product on your eyelids. If you want to give your brows a little more definition, gently stroke your brow hairs with a pencil in the shade of your hairs. You don’t have to wear an eyeshadow with this look. However, you can add a little bronzer to your eyelids to give your look a little more shimmer.
2. Professional looks or the Office
Apply your face makeup and concealer lightly to give your face a natural and hide discoloration and blemishes. Apply makeup under the brows, in the crease of the eye, and on the eyelid in a neutral shade that matches your skin tone. If you have a warm skin tone, use bronze and gold hues. For cooler skin tones, choose silver or gray shades.
Finish your look with a nude lipstick and a little bit of shimmer on the cheeks and forehead since the sun would naturally hit your face in these areas. If you don’t normally wear lipstick, a gloss with a tint of color is appropriate for the office as well.
3. Glam looks for date night or formal outings
You can apply our makeup the way you would for a casual get-together, but you may want to add a little more product to ensure your look is especially glamorous. Add a dark shade of brown or gray on the lids of your eyes and contrast it with a nude color right underneath the brow. Use eye cosmetics that lengthen the lashes and add strip-style or individual false lashes. Define your brows with an eyebrow pencil that is the same color as your brows. You can also choose hues that have a bit of sparkle to them when you’re enhancing your eyes to make your formal look extra special.
